Easy Philly Cheesesteak Sliders

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs John Henry’s Beef Sizzle Steak

  • 1 large sweet onion, thinly sliced into wedges

  • 1 large green pepper, thinly sliced (optional)

  • 2–4 tbsp John Henry’s Amish Butter

  • 1 package Hawaiian dinner rolls (12 ct – 18 oz)

  • Steak seasoning (your favorite blend)

  • 12–18 slices provolone cheese (or pepper jack)

  • 2–3 tbsp mayonnaise

 Instructions

  1. Slice onions into thin wedge shapes and peppers into strips.

  2. Cut Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally to create slider buns.

  3. Place the bottom half of the rolls in a baking pan, and layer with provolone cheese.

  4. Spread mayonnaise on the inside of the top buns and set aside.

  5. In a frying pan over medium-high heat, melt 2 tbsp Amish Butter.

  6. Add onions and peppers, sauté until soft.

  7. Lay thin slices of sizzle steak over the sautéed veggies.

  8. Sprinkle with steak seasoning, cook about 2 minutes, then flip steak.

  9. Cook another minute, then push cooked mixture aside and repeat with remaining steak.

  10. Combine all steak, onions, and peppers together once fully cooked.

  11. Preheat oven to 375°F.

  12. Spoon the steak mixture evenly over the cheese-lined bottom buns.

  13. Add another layer of cheese over the steak (provolone or pepper jack).

  14. Top with the mayo-spread buns.

  15. (Optional) Brush tops with melted butter for a golden finish.

  16. Bake for 20 minutes, or until cheese is melty and tops are browned.

  17. Let rest a few minutes, slice into individual sliders, and serve hot!
