Chicken Cordon Bleu

INGREDIENTS

John Henry's Tenderized Chicken Breast

3 packages or 6 pieces

Swiss Cheese

12 Slices

John Henry's Hickory Smoked Deli Ham

6 Sliced *Thin*

Eggs

2 Large

Salt

None

Pepper

None

Garlic Powder

None

Paprika

None

Bread Crumbs of Your Choice

None

Butcher Twine

None

Cooking Oil

None

PREPARATION

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.

Heat  ¼” cooking oil in a skillet on medium heat.

Layout tenderized chicken breast and sprinkle with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika. Layer on top of chicken: 1 slice of ham (folded in half) and 2 slices of swiss cheese.

Tuck in the sides of the breast and roll up tight like a jellyroll. Use butcher twine to tie it tight in the middle to keep things together.

Beat together eggs and dip the chicken roll into the egg mixture.

Gently coat in the bread crumbs.

Once the oil is heated – pan fry the chicken for 2-3 minutes on each side to create a crispy outside shell.

Once all sides are crisp, add to a baking sheet and place in the oven for 15 – 20 minutes until internal temperature reaches 165 degrees F.

Serve whole or cut into pinwheels.
