Sirloin Steak with Red Wine Sauce

INGREDIENTS
John Henry's Sirloin Steak
2 lbs
Yellow Onion
1, thinly sliced
Tomato Paste
5 Tbsp
Red Wine
1/2 Cup
Roasted Garlic Grapeseed Oil (Wildtree)
1 Tbsp
European Dipping Oil - Mediterranean Balsamic (Wildtree)
1 Tbsp
Rancher Steak Rub (Wildtree)
2 tsp
Water
1/4 Cup
PREPARATION
  • Mix together the onion, tomato paste, red wine, oils and seasoning in a large ziploc bag to create your marinade.
  • Add the steak to the marinade and allow to rest overnight, or at least for a few hours. *If preparing a freezer meal, you should allow the meat to marinade while the package is thawing out.
  • When you are ready to cook, preheat your grill to high heat. Clean and grease the grill grates to avoid sticking.
  • Making sure to reserve the marinade, remove the steaks from the freezer bag and grill for 5-6 minutes on each side until cooked to desired doneness: 130°F for medium rare.
  • Mix water with reserved marinade and bring to a boil in a small saucepan over medium-high heat. Reduce to a simmer and cook for 5 minutes or until it reaches desired consistency.
  • Serve your steaks with the prepared wine sauce.
